The other day I had the honor of photographing a welcome new addition to this world. Isabella is a beautiful little girl. Hope you enjoy the images.

I love the juxtaposition of such a little girl on her father's arm.

We were lucky to get some shots with her eyes open.

Isabella is blessed with a wonderful mother and father.

Is there anything cuter?!?

I have been shooting lately, I am just having a hard time finding the time to post my entries. I am going to (hopefully) post some images I’ve shot in the last few weeks over the next few days. Life has certainly been an adventure the last few weeks!

Got lucky a week or so ago and the whole family went for a walk in the beautiful morning fog.

There was dew covering all the fallen leaves.

I think Pablo loves walks even more than me!

There is nothing quite like the changing of the seasons.
A beautiful day at Rose Lake
Vincent was out of work early one day this week so we decided to take advantage of it and head out to Rose Lake for a hike. I think it has been almost two years since we have been out there which is very sad because we used to go out there almost every day. It was beautiful with the changing leaves and fresh air.
Went home to North Street….
Pablo and I headed to my parents house for a few days last week. It had been far too long since we’ve been home and we thought it would be nice to give Vincent a few nights of solid sleep. We had a great time visiting with eachother and playing with the dogs. My parents have Patches and my sister Lori has three dogs, Surf, Ursula and Tonka.
- Mom cooks in her kitchen.

My parents' dog Patches.

Pablo loved Patches and she was incredibly patient.

Lori's little guy.....Tonka.
Making up for lost time!
Pablo attended his first Halloween Party at his great-grandmother’s place….dressed as none other than Pablo the Penguin from the Backyardigans. He’ll definitely go to therapy for this 🙂 The second set of photos is from my sister Jill’s home. The kids were picking pears. It was a beautiful fall day.

Grandma and Pablo.

I have never heard great-grandma laugh so hard as when she spent time with Pablo on Saturday. There is something so beautiful about the young and old together.

This is my sister Jill's youngest son. We had a great time picking pears and hanging out.

It was a beautiful day to be taking pictures and spending time with family.

Watching Jill's children makes me want to have more!
Two more for today. Enjoy!

This dog lives across the street from us.

Pablo. I just can't stand how cute he is.
Won two awards in MPA 2009 Better Newspaper Contest
The first image took a first place in Feature for Daily Class B. The second image took a second place in Sports Picture.

A giant flag is raised betweed two firetrucks for the City of Lansing 5th Annual 9/11 Memorial service.

Mitch Zajac is the Athlete of the Year. Zajac helped his wrestling team to an undefeated season and it's first state title since 1997.
Baby shoot!
Today I photographed Nolan, Pablo’s cosmically linked brother at his home. We had an amazing time. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. There are a few with Pablo, too. Enjoy!
A Great Blue Heron
What I like about living in my neighborhood is that even though I live in the middle of the city, I still feel like I live in the country. Driving to a photo exhibit by Michael Coles at the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities I saw this Great Blue Heron in the pond around the corner from my home. More on Coles’ photography at http://www.mcolesphoto.com/.

Vincent likes this shot better. I'm for the next one. What do you think?
Changing Seasons
Along with the launch of my new website, I am (hopefully) shooting and adding at least one image daily. Please check back often and let me know what you think.
Today I strapped Pablo to my back and we headed off into our backyard.
This first image, the vibrant red leaves, was shot on the side of my home. I love the muted light.
The spider in the flower was in my neighbors garden (please, don’t tell). I honestly can’t stand spiders, but I love to photograph them.
The pine needles were on the other side of my home. Once again, I love the play of light and the graphic nature of the image.
And lastly, my son Pablo in the park.
